Do photography sessions have a fixed time limit?

No. Lens Legacy operates on a "No Time Limit" philosophy, which means the session continues until the required results are captured. Rather than billing by the hour and rushing through shots, the focus is entirely on the outcome. This is especially valuable for family sessions where natural moments take time to unfold, and for events where unpredictable logistics can shift the schedule.

What types of photography sessions are available?

Lens Legacy offers portrait sessions, event photography, and commercial work. Portraits cover individuals and families. Event photography is available for both personal occasions and corporate gatherings, with solo or second-shooter options depending on the scale of the event. Commercial sessions are designed for business owners who need brand imagery, product photography, or on-site documentation for professional use.

Does Lens Legacy use AI to edit photos?

No. All images are edited by hand using traditional techniques. Lens Legacy has a strict policy against using generative AI in photo editing. Every delivered image is the product of human skill, proper lighting, and intentional composition. This commitment applies to every session type, from individual portraits to large commercial projects.

Which areas does Lens Legacy serve for photography sessions?

Lens Legacy serves clients across Eastern Iowa and into Illinois. The confirmed service area includes Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, Marion, and Des Moines in Iowa, plus Rock Island in Illinois. If your event or session location falls within or near this corridor, reach out to confirm availability.

How much do professional photo sessions cost?

Session pricing ranges from $100 to $5,000 depending on the scope of the project. Smaller personal portrait sessions fall toward the lower end of that range, while large-scale commercial or event coverage with a second shooter would be priced toward the higher end. A consultation is available for larger projects to define scope before a final price is set.

Is a consultation required before booking a session?

Consultations are required for large events and complex projects, and are optional for smaller or straightforward shoots. When a consultation is recommended, it runs 30 to 45 minutes and covers project scope, logistics, and whether a second shooter is needed. For a simple portrait session, you can move directly to scheduling.

Can a second photographer be added to an event session?

Yes. A second-shooter option is available for events where broader coverage is needed. This is particularly useful for large corporate events or multi-location gatherings where a single photographer would struggle to capture everything. The need for a second shooter is typically confirmed during the pre-session consultation.
